In 2001 I released my first 12″ – a house track. Many records followed and I started DJ-ing. Eventually, I met Stefan and we began releasing music as Dada Life and touring the world (and winning Guinness World Records!). I followed the path I had laid down on that first 12″ back in 2001. But that first record also had a B-side, a completely different kind of song. It had a groove, but it wasn’t really for the dance floor.

With Light Gestalt I have decided to follow the alternate path that started with that B-side. This is my dream of how the future sounds. Or is it the dreams I had as a kid? Is it just a ghost – a lost future? In many ways, I think the vision of the future in the 90s was more open than it is today. We had drum & bass, rave culture, the dawn of the Internet and the free world growing so fast that Francis Fukuyama wrote “The End of History“.

If this music sounds nostalgic, it’s because I still dream of that future.
